BC Hydro announced that its residential battery rebate structure will change effective April 1, 2026, tying higher incentives to Peak Saver participation and restricting non-enrolled battery-only installs. Budget 2025 proposes changes so the Canada Growth Fund can be an eligible entity under the Clean Electricity ITC, and proposes an exception so Canada Growth Fund financing doesn’t reduce ITC-eligible cost, effective for eligible property acquired and available for use on/after Budget Day (Nov 4, 2025).
