Client Challenge

Electricity consumption costs and transformer overloading have become big concerns to infrastructure owners. Our client sought to utilize solar PV and an energy storage system to reduce the demand stress on grid and improve bill savings by reducing grid usage during peak periods.

Solution

TROES helped our client successfully integrate a solar PV, Battery Energy Storage System, and EV charger to reduce demand stress on the grid and increase bill savings. Meanwhile, the system provides resilience to this commercial building. Assuming a daily usage of 8 hours and 2066 hours of sunshine yearly, the Battery Energy Storage System will be paid off in 4 years.
