High energy bills from a combination of consumption and demand charges are a concern for our clients at Southern Illinois University. There are multiple buildings with high power requirements, and demand becomes a large part of their bill when a lot of power is used over a short period of time.
Solution
Our solution is a sustainable, wireless communication Battery Energy Storage System that is a superior alternative to diesel-powered generators. A solar PV was integrated with a Battery Energy Storage System to ensure application of solar PV at its highest efficiency. The power generated can respond to the unpredictable nature of peak demand.
