Description

Smart Grid Atlantic is a four-year federally funded program to determine how energy technologies of the future can provide customer, community, and provincial benefits. New Brunswick Government of Canada Pension Centre based in Shediac is involved in this program. Pension Centre has a community solar farm plan to provide 70% of power for buildings/sites which are part of the smart grid Atlantic program. TROES BESS together with solar panels is functioned to shave the peak for this building.

Solution

The primary purpose is to lower the energy use of 2 government buildings in Shediac, New Brunswick by pairing our BESS with a solar farm that will take advantage of renewable energy.
